The Pier, Donegal Town
The historic town of Donegal is now a thriving commerical centre. Amonst the attractions of Donegal is the restored Donegal Castle built in the 15th century, the world-renowned Magees retail store and the Donegal Bay Waterbus which offers spectacular coastal views of Donegal Bay and surrounding Islands.
Donegal Town and surrounding areas can also offer such activities as guided walking tours, an eighteen golf course, Donegal Railway Heritage Centre and Donegal Craft Village.
Through the provision of funding from ICBAN, Interreg IIIA environmental improvements have commenced at The Pier, Donegal Town. This substanial re-development of the Pier area is currenlty on-going however works funding by ICBAN, Interreg IIIA have been completed namely, upgrade and enhancement works at The Pier Area.
