Situated on Donegal Bay, where the Atlantic Ocean rolls onto the Blue Flag Beach and surrounded by the impressive Dartry and Ben Bulben Mountains, Bundoran enjoys a stunning location and is a surfer’s paradise. With plenty of amenities on offer, including Waterworld - the indoor aqua adventure playground, Bundoran Seaweed Baths and enchanting walkways, it’s no wonder that Bundoran is Donegal’s best known Seaside town.
Bundoran was chosen to benefit from ICBAN, Interreg IIIA funding for Environmental improvement works with the aim of further enhancing the tourism potential of the town and thereby promoting social and economic growth.
This funding assisted in giving the Promenade a facelift fitting for such a well-known Seaside town - providing for a pedestrian walkway to the cliff area, decorative street lighting, street furniture, paving and undergrounding of services.
